Digipak and booklet like new. CD looks unplayed.

The first volume opened many musical doors for me. The idea was to shine a spotlight on the white southern singers of the late '60s and '70s who blended soul, country, blues, and rock into a lazy, hazy, laid-back, mellow groove. I knewe a few of the artists like Tony Joe White, Larry Jon Wilson and Dan Penn. But others were new to me and the whole disc is still one of my favorites. Too bad it never came out on vinyl.Compiled by Jeb Loy Nichols by the way.
Volume 2 is as good with tracks by some of the aforementioned plus Wayne Carson, Bonnie Bramlett, Travis Wammack and others.
Absolute killer stuff!
