A follow-up to last year's DVD release, A Night At The Family Dog, this new DVD brings together two other television programs from producer Ralph J. Gleason that examine San Francisco's psychedelic scene in the late '60s and early '70s. The first program "Go Ride The Music" presents two giants of their era live in concert: Jefferson Airplane played in a small, intimate club while Quicksilver Messenger Service were filmed at an open air show. There are notable appearances from David Crosby and Jerry Garcia. "West Pole" features a diverse roster of interesting bands such as Ace Of Cups, Sons Of Champlin, Grateful Dead and the Steve Miller Band. The recordings were made in different locations and take a more analytical look at that time and its music.
