Gothic Americana Album vom britischen Sänger und Gitarristen. Michael J. Sheehy nimmt seit fast drei Jahrzehnten Alben auf, zunächst als Gründer und Frontmann der Kultband Dream City Film Club aus der Mitte der 90er Jahre, später als Solokünstler und Frontmann der Roots-Garage-Rock-Band Miraculous Mule. Er tourte mit Größen wie Kristin Hersh, Tindersticks, John Cale und Peter Murphy, während seine Songs in Filmen wie „Intimacy“ und der TV-Serie „Deadwood“ verwendet wurden. Nach einer sechsjährigen Pause hat Sheehy gerade „Don’t We Deserve Some Kind of Love?“ veröffentlicht, sein siebtes Soloalbum. Auf „Don’t We Deserve Some Kind of Love?“ sind Fiona Brice (Violine), Sandy Mill (Backing Vocals), Ian Burns (Schlagzeug) und Patrick McCarthy (Gitarre) zu hören. Das Album wurde über einen Zeitraum von fünf Jahren zu Hause aufgenommen, während Sheehy als Hausmann tätig war und abends in einer Bar in Camden, im Norden Londons, arbeitete.
